My career began at St. Mary’s School in 2010 when I did my student teaching under Mrs. Johnson. I am currently in my twelfth year with St. Mary’s School. For six years, I was the second grade teacher, two years in a dual role as school principal and teacher, and currently principal of St. Mary’s School. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mankato State University in Business Administration in 1987, teaching degree through Western Governors University in 2010, and my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from St. Mary’s University – Winona.
I have two daughters, Megan, 29, who lives and works in Sioux Falls, SD. My youngest, Mari, 15, is a 9th grader at Worthington High School. I feel truly blessed to be a part of the St. Mary’s School family and even more blessed that my youngest daughter had the benefit of receiving a faith based education.
As a child, I attended St. Adrian Catholic School until its closure and then finished my education at Adrian Public School. My favorite subjects in school were math and social studies.
I would say the best part of my job is being around children, which allows me the opportunity to look at life through the eyes of a child. That look of pure determination when learning something new, the look of astonishment when they learn something new, to their sense of pride when they stand up at the Ambo when participating in Mass. But most of all I have the privilege of watching children grow in their love of our Lord and fellow students each and every day. For that I am eternally grateful.
God bless,
Ms. Probst
Principal, St. Mary’s School
