Hello! My name is Michael Vorwald! I was born and raised here in Worthington and graduated from WHS in 2009! After high school I attended Northwestern College for 3 years before graduating from the University of Sioux Falls with a degree in Elementary Education. Following graduation, I taught third-grade at Prairie Elementary for 2 years. I then took a break from teaching and returned to Northwestern College as the assistant men’s basketball coach. Now, I am extremely excited to be back in the classroom as the second-grade teacher here at St. Mary’s!
Outside of school, I love all sports! In particular, I enjoy watching and being involved in basketball, football, golf and baseball. The Timberwolves, Twins, Viking and gophers are my favorite teams. What I enjoy doing most in my free-time, is chasing around my busy son Kessler Joseph (KJ) Vorwald.
