I was born on May 11 to Patricia and Dale Krekelberg, the fourth of five children. I attended St. Mary’s School for grades 1 to 6. I volunteered at St. Mary’s School while growing up and attending St. Mary’s Catholic Church. I graduated from Mankato State University with a degree in elementary education.
I began my teaching career at St. Mary’s School in 1987 with a combined class of second and third grades and have taught here since. My greatest blessings have been the ability to not only provide for my students academically but also share my catholic faith with my students, teaching the rosary and learning about the lives of the Saints. During my career at St. Mary’s School, I was blessed to have many volunteers in my classroom including both my mom and dad.
On June 11, 1988, I married Lonny Johnson at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and we have two children, Carly and Patrick. Carly is an RN in Shakopee, Minnesota and Patrick is attending colleg. Carly has three sons, Kayden, Kasen and Jaxon, who attended St. Mary’s School and now attend St. Michael’s Catholic School in Prior Lake, Minnesota, continuing my family’s tradition of receiving a catholic education.
When I’m not at school, I enjoy gardening, reading and spending my summers at our family cabin in New London, Minnesota.
