WHAT IS THE SUPPORT-A-STUDENT PROGRAM?
St. Mary's Support a Student Program is a scholarship program funded by donations. For nearly 75 years, St. Mary’s has shown a tradition of faith, scholarship, and service. For that time the Support a Student Program has assured for students who might not otherwise have afforded it the opportunity to be educated in a safe, faith-filled environment and to allow those students to grow both intellectually and spiritually to reach his or her God-given potential.
WHY IS SUCH A PROGRAM NEEDED?
There is a significant need in the greater Worthington community which makes your financial contributions more critical than ever. It is a true gift you give these children. A gift of opportunity that will help the underserved populations of our community not only financially but will start them on a path of academic excellence that will help them excel in their vocations and become leaders in service to God and to their communities.
WHY DO PEOPLE GIVE TO THE PROGRAM?
People give to the Support a Student Program because they believe in the life changing benefits of a Catholic education. They give because they feel they have been blessed by God in His generosity and wish to give back to those who are in need. They give because they are alumni and know how they themselves have benefitted from their own education at St. Mary’s
Whatever your reasons may be know that when you give you are truly making the difference in the life of a child and helping mold their future in ways only God knows.
WHO QUALIFIES FOR THE PROGRAM?
St. Mary’s students qualify for the Support a Student Program based on need, academic growth and performance, service to community, and church involvement.
